How do I enable the "Notify Me" button on product pages?
- Install the App from the Shopify App Store
- Open your theme editor
- In the "Add block" section of the product page, add the "Notify Me" block provided by the App
- Save — the button will appear automatically on out-of-stock variants
Why is no email sent on restock?
Possible causes:
- Missing Resend API key: check that the key is set in the App settings
- Sender domain not authenticated: your domain needs SPF and DKIM DNS records configured on Resend
- Daily limit reached: 100 emails per shop per day, resumes the next day
- Inventory webhook not received: verify the App has
read_inventoryandread_productspermissions
Use the "Send test email" button in settings for quick diagnosis.
How can shoppers unsubscribe?
Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it marks the subscription as unsubscribed and no further emails will be sent for this email/variant combination.
Is the App really free?
Yes, Back in Stock is currently free with no time limit. No credit card required at install. Premium features may be added later; current features will remain free for existing installs.
Can I customize the button text and email content?
Yes. The "Notify Me" button label and form messages are configurable in the theme editor. The email subject and sender are configurable in the App settings.
What happens if I uninstall the App?
All your shop data (subscriptions, logs, settings) is deleted within 48 hours, in compliance with Shopify GDPR obligations.
